So we built something to fix it.

Promptly Employed uses AI to read each application against the actual job description and employer-defined criteria, then returns a ranked shortlist with the reasoning behind each result.

Employers can start with the candidates who most closely match what they're looking for. Applicants get clarity on where they stand — including when the answer is no.

Our founder began his career in ICT twenty-six years ago.

One job had him pulling CAT5 cable across the rooftops of a local television station. Another had him cleaning refurbished copiers with a toothbrush.

He realised early that if he wanted to move forward, he would have to keep building his skills. So he studied while working, earning a BSc in Computing and Information Systems from the University of London through SBCS, where he graduated as valedictorian, followed by a Master's in Information Systems and Technology Management from UWI's Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business as part of the programme's first cohort.

His career eventually took him to Group ICT Manager for a hotel group in Trinidad. He later co-founded an ERP consultancy, which he helped run for five years.

That experience put him inside other people's businesses, seeing firsthand how companies operate, grow and hire.

Then he spent a few months back in the job market himself.

Applications were sent with no acknowledgement. Interviews happened with no follow-up. Calls went unanswered. There was no way to know whether his résumé had been reviewed, whether a position had been filled, or whether his application was still sitting somewhere in a queue.

After more than two decades in the workforce, the experience felt remarkably familiar.

But he had also experienced hiring from the other side.

Running the ERP consultancy meant reviewing stacks of résumés, trying to identify the people who actually fit, and knowing there simply wasn't enough time to give every application the attention it deserved.

He could see both ends of the same gap.

Employers needed a faster, more structured way to identify the candidates who best matched a role. Applicants needed to know that their application had actually been considered — and where they stood afterwards.

Neither side could solve that problem alone.

So he built Promptly Employed.

Nights and weekends, around a full-time job, he worked on a platform designed to close that gap — for the employer trying to find the right person, and for the applicant who deserves more than silence.

Promptly Employed was designed, built and launched by someone who had experienced hiring from both sides — and believed the process could work better for both.
